The Festival Director
Andy London
Andy London is a writer, director, animator, and co-founder of London Squared Productions. Since launching his studio in 1999, he’s been crafting award-winning animated films, music videos, and original content. His distinctive body of work includes festival favorites like Subway Salvation, The Back Brace, and A Letter to Colleen, which have screened at hundreds of festivals worldwide, including Tribeca, Annecy, and the Ottawa International Animation Festival. In 2011, his film The Lost Tribes of New York City was featured in MoMA’s acclaimed exhibition Talk to Me, which explored the intersection of people, technology, and objects. His latest film, 1981 is a nostalgic coming-of-age story set in suburban Long Island, premiering at Sundance. In addition to his filmmaking practice, Andy is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences and the co-director and co-founder of Animation Speak/Easy, a widely popular, bi-monthly event held at Rullo's in Brooklyn. He is also a new full time professor in the Art and Art History Department at Adelphi University in Long Island.
